My Samsung Blu Ray BD1250 fails on the last connection test - the Internet Services test. When I connect the ethernet cable from the Blu Ray to the Linksys the connection test fails. If I bypass the Linksys and connect the Blu Ray directly to my DSL modem ethernet port all tests are successful and I can access the internet. Any ideas what setting on my Linksys is blocking the connection? I have the Blu Ray cable network setup for DHCP = on and DNS = Auto.

This one has an ETHERNET cable spot - if your modem is within a reasonable distance, use a (shielded) cable to get the best connection. If you want to use wireless, you have to set up the connection (giving modem name and password) on the Samsung.
This is a late 2007 model and has an ethernet (internet) connection for firmware updates and interactive content such as BD-Live but its too old for Netflix capability or other internet streaming.
My suggestions : 1. Try to test your internet connection on menu setup after you set IP address. 2. If it failed, switch you connection to auto. Than test again. 3. If all method above is OK, try to update firmware from USB.
Connect the ethernet cable to the backside of the samsung bluray 1500 player ethernet connection with the bluray player power on with no disk & it will automatically update your bluray. It should be work fine after update your bluray. Good Luck!
