My Samsung Blu Ray BD1250 fails on the last connection test - the Internet Services test. When I connect the ethernet cable from the Blu Ray to the Linksys the connection test fails. If I bypass the Linksys and connect the Blu Ray directly to my DSL modem ethernet port all tests are successful and I can access the internet. Any ideas what setting on my Linksys is blocking the connection? I have the Blu Ray cable network setup for DHCP = on and DNS = Auto.

I believe if you look at your linksys settings DNS is disabled by default. Unless you are using domain name service it should be off or disabled.

How to connect to wireless

This one has an ETHERNET cable spot - if your modem is within a reasonable distance, use a (shielded) cable to get the best connection. If you want to use wireless, you have to set up the connection (giving modem name and password) on the Samsung.

How do I connect my Samsung BD-E5400 blu ray player to tv and watch netflix with a wired internet connection?

From the modem to the blu-ray use an ETHERNET cable. From the blu-ray to TV use an HDMI cable. They only fit in the right terminals.

BD-P1500XAA won't connect to the internet for up dates.my internet services provider said that my connection is ok. I plug in to the lan port and turn on dvd press menu and dvd go to set up, press enter...

My suggestions :
1. Try to test your internet connection on menu setup after you set IP address.
2. If it failed, switch you connection to auto. Than test again.
3. If all method above is OK, try to update firmware from USB.
