It may be detecting short circuits in the power supply or in the backlight inverter board, try disconnecting the power cable to the backlight inverter board to see it you can get it to come on without the pictures.

Mitsubishi WD-48511 Flashing green power light

The green light should only blink if set has been unplugged---upon plugging it back it will blink for about 70 seconds and go out----this is the set booting up and is normal.

At that point you should be able to turn the set on-----what happens when you try?

I turned my t.v. on w/the remote. it came on then turned right off. at least i thought it did. there was no picture and the power light was blinking on and off with a green light. I pushed the power button...

Hello; This problem is likely caused by bad inverter board(s). I think there are 2 on the left side on this model. If either inverter doesn't start, the microcomputer on the main board see's this and generates one "lamp error" . Once it counts 5 lamp errors, the screen will not light and led(s) will flash. These boards are about $100 each and no way to know which is bad. It can also be caused by a bad LCD panel ( cost more than the TV sold for). You can verify a lamp error problem by doing a "forced start" . The set must be unplugged. then"I think" Hold the channel up and volume down buttons on the set or VISa Versa, and plug in without releasing these buttons for several seconds. If the set makes a buzzing noise , the power supply board is bad. If the set comes on and stays or goes off this is the inverter and/ or LCD panel problem. John

Blinking green light on Mitsubishi will not turn off

The capacitors on the DM board need replacement, thats a common problem it will work fine but if power is loss even for a minute the capacitor drain, then they cant recharge since they need replacement so the set will just keep blinking the timer light. Installing the V26 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually repair that. The kit contains the Replacement caps and the CD with detailed instructions.

Power light blinking green,nopicture lc-32sb24u lc-37sb24u

This same thing happened to me, but not until I fiddled with all of my remotes, trying to see if it was an input issue, battery issue, etc. I finally unplugged the tv from the wall and plugged it back in. Nothing. Then I went to take 5 minute ****. When I finished, the Power & OPC lights were blinking, and out of sync. I pressed the power button at the top of my TV and got a picture.

No POWER

How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).

1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit

If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)
