I have a Nokia n73. I m unable to receive any messages. It gives an error message stating that memory is full, delete some messages to receive new ones. Also there is a message symbol blinking on the top right corner of the screen. I have already deleted all the messages in my inbox, outbox, sent items etc. I have also removed my memory card. I even reset my phone to default factory settings. But nothing seems to be working. It still shows the above error, whenever i restart my phone. Please help me asap.

I tried putting another sim card. But the problem still persists.

I tried updating my software, but that isnt helping either. I downloaded the "Nokia Software Updater", but when i start the update process, it says "unable to find device", so probably my device might not be supported. I also tries switching on my cell with out any sim. even after that the problem persists.

That was like the first thing that i tried, formatting my phone. But when it restarts it still gives the error message-" memory low. Delete some data." I do get a couple of messages after that, but after some time i again stop receiving them. Do u think it's time to discard the phone and buy a new one?

Yeah. probably that's the best thing to do.. But in any case in any last n final suggestions that i can get from you on how to make my phone work properly??

Change your sim card and check wheather it is coming correctly . It is because of the problem of sim card.

I have nokia N 73..I am recieving messages but unable to open as it says memory full delete some data..whereas my memory is not at full.I hardly have any data.I am unable to open my sms's .please help

Please go into inbox and delete all previous text messages. Then sent items and delete all text messages. Also in outbox, drafts. Your settings for your text messages may only be set to recieve a certain amount of texts.

You can change this by going into messages then message settings

and then other. increase the number of saved messages to 999.

If your phone is only set to save 100, you will get memory full messages once that amount has been reached.

Hope this helps and please rate

Ph memory showing full

Hi,

most nokia phones especially N series has that similar problem, but it an be solved.

Most messages that comes into the phone always go straight into the message inbox, in other to stop seeing message delete, you have to delete some messages in he inbox of the phone.that will stop it.

Take care.

Try to delete songs or setups that you might have kept in the phone memory (c:) drive of your phone !
and make sure no application is running in background before opening LifeBlog.

For better viewing of the files kept in the phone memory use X-PLORER software !

Phone Memory Full

Dear Rohan_anand,

Actually the problem is because your SMS/MMS inbox is full.
Over the last six months you have piled plenty of messages in your inbox that you didnt delete. or you may have MP3's shared via bluetooth in your inbox.

Try saving them to you memory card and delete them from your inbox.

You will not receive this message anymore.

Let me know, if this doesnt solve your problem. Please leave a comment here as i will be checking it time to time.

Would appreciate if you can rate this solution if it solves your problem.

Best Regards,
Techno-geek.
