Vertical Distortion fix for Toshiba 32 inch TV

After I power up my Toshiba 32ZD08B TV the picture distorts (vertical pin cushion effect?) There's also light brown color distortion in the top left and a faint red line across the screen. Can I fix it?

You have bad capacitors and possibly a vertical IC that is going bad. And check for bad grounds in and around the IC and caps!

I have Prima TK 2951 CRT TV AND i have vertical problem. Which capacitor i should change to fix picture from sides have corregations from down to up

You're talking about the pin cushion distortion; I presume. If this is the case, there is a separate circuit to adjust pin cushion distortion. Contact any service technician to rectify this problem. This is a skilled work. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

I have an older Panasonic 26 inch tv the screen was a bit warped at the top off and on then the picture shrank to a bright horizontal line then went black the sound remains.

This is a common vertical circuit failure and if you had distortion at the top before, that was the capacitors in the circuit failing which filtwer the voltage to the vertical ic which has now failed as well.A lucky fix maybe just resolderingm the ic pins! A reputable shop may able to repair for less than $100 or I can guide you further to fix your self if you have technical expertise.

My 36 inch RCA tv has black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. The color is also dark even in daylight scenes. Can you help with this color.

as a general rule, vertical faults can be divided into two types: ones that cause geometric distortion (a circle will not be round) and those that simply black out a portion of the screen. the former are faults in the vertical oscillator, drive, or output stages. the latter are blanking faults. blanking faults are almost always caused by electrolytic capacitors changing value and thereby changing the timing of the pulses which blank the screen during vertical retrace. In other words, the pulses are turning off the video signals at the wrong time. the most common true vertical fault is geometric distortion and a foldover of white lines at the top of the screen. this is almost always caused by the electrolytic capacitor on or near the collector of the vertical output transistor or part of the IC which has the supply voltage (B+) on it. In the old tube days, the general rule was that bottom distortion was in the cathode of the output tube and distortion at the top was caused by a fault in the drive circuit. this may help the solution!!

Loewe TV with pin cushion distortion

Yes if you could give me a model #, it is probably a diode shorted in pincushion area, or a capacitor.

Black horizontal lines across bottom 1/3 of screen

This is due to vertical section failure. Change the vertical supply rectifier diode and supply filters. Then check zener diode leakage in pumpup circuit section. Also check any electrolytic capacitors leakage in vertical section. If it is old model tv change vertical height, vertical lenearity presets also. I hope given details useful to you.
