TH-42pw4, blinking red power light; no picture. I unplugged and then replugged it in; powered up; green light comes on for small amt of time but goes to blinking red; no picture; no sound. Any advice?

You have the television on sleep mode. You'll have to disengage the sleep function! Most tv have this option so that you can go ahead and snooze for a while and the tv will turn itself off!
Check the lamp door switch. This switch is really cheaply made. The switch is not available. short rhe wires to fix the problem. then never change the lamp witout unplugging the ac power in the future.

THIS SYMTOM MEANS THERES A POWER PROBLEM DEPENDING ON HOW MANY BLINKS WILL TELL YOU WHAT BOARD OR PANEL IS BAD OR NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IT MAY BE A BLOWN FUSE
COUNT THE TIMES IT BLINKs and i can tell you what internal circut board is bad..
i turned on my tv and it blinks green continuesly. it wont turn off to red light. i unpluged it for 30 min. repluged it and green light comes on and wont stop blinking
