I follow the directions in the manual to copy 35 mm film. However, when I scan all I get is a pictue of the film holder and a tan colored picture of the film strip.
When you were scanning, did you set the scan selection to scan negatives ?
Take a snap shot of your screen CTRL + PRINT SCREEN and upload it here ( in th box where you type, its the second icon to the top) and we will see whats happening
Well thats why you cant scan negatives, the scanner has to be set to scan it specifically, Could you post your scanner make and model for me and if you could, a snap shot of the settings part of your screen for the scanner.. While you are doing this, please reinstall your scanner driver as well..
yeah you have too uninstall first, ok let me do a little backdigging and i'll get back to you in a sec.
its easy to do a screen capture,
1.) HOLD CTRL then pree PRINT SCREEN
2.) Open Paint or any photo shop program, create a new document then press CTRL + V
:) it copys a picture of the screen to the clipboard, you have to go into paint or any graphics program and paste it there CTRL +V

Ok, I have a CanoScan 8600F -- I have to uninstall first, right? Sorry, not real good at this. Don't know how to print screen and get it posted. :-(
for some strange reason, I cannot print screen. I hold ctrl and then hit print screen and nothing happens. and yes, my printer is on :-)
This says a web page cannot be found. I have adobe which opens most files.
I have gone on line with Canon and they said they would reply. Maybe I can get some help from them.
