I will assume the monitor is staying on during the boot process all the way until Windows loads.
If that is the case, then...

  • Start the computer
  • wait until the initial bios/logo screens for your motherboard go away.
  • Press F8 to get the Windows recovery boot menu
  • If you see the Windows Logo you would normally see then press rest and try again.
  • In the recovery screen, select SAFE MODE
  • Boot into Windows and uninstall your video card.
  • Reboot the computer the normal way through the start menu.
  • When your PC starts back up it should then reinstall the video card, and set itself automatically back to 60khz as default.
Let me know how you go =)

Hello, I have a lg lcd monitor. w1941s model. when I start my computer, it work for sometime. then it goes blank showing only the LG logo. then the power button doesnot work. it hang up glowing. again

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

Have used for 3 1/2 years no problems. 1 day on working great, left for about hour & back to black screen. When computer first starts, I get welcome screen, then nothing the menu lights on right light...

Have you tried it on another computer? if not please do it. Your monitor problem seems with the CPU not booting up properly. You can also try with another monitor on the computer. Please confirm after you are done with the results. Thanks.

New 19" flat screen monitor only shows analog on the screen

finwiz,
When you on your computer, does any thing appear on the screen, some text display/logo etc.?
If yes then:
  • After making power on your computer start pressing F8 till boot option menu appears.
  • Then select safe mode and if it works, then goto device manager and re-install driver for your display.
If no then:
  • Check out the connection from monitor to computer and try. If still no luck then post comment whats you did and what was the result.

Thanks

Monitor repeatedly flashes Acer logo and computer display in cycles

We had the same problem with the 17" we bought in Aug. Sent it back for repair. Acer sent it back without fixing the problem. Started doing it again in Nov. This time I called a supervisor and they sent me a new monitor. Well yesterday it started doing the same thing. You can fix it temp buy unplugging it and holding down the on-off switch for 30 seconds. Please let me know if you have a better fix.

Screen not appearing straight away

It could be your LCD backlight giving you problems till it warms up. Turn you computer on and while the monitor is displaying black and the power LED is green shine a flashlight in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Look for the ?Start? button, if your backlight is not working you?ll see a faint ?start? button if you look closely. A 15" LCD monitor is probably not an economically repairable problem unless you have access to really cheap parts and have the skills and tools to do the repair yourself.
