I'm getting a green Bar when I play Blue ray Disc Movies on my50" phillips plasma TV. I've tried to adjust display and picture settings through the tv menu and thru the ps3 menu but no luck.
What do you recommend
Green bar or border is due to wrong AV Setting. To resolve this just insert the Blue-Ray DVD and begin to play. Press the Triangle button and select "AV Setting", in AV Setting change Video Output to RGB.
When using an HDMI cable I'm getting a greenish tint for the display when playing blue ray discs on my phillips, but the browser and PS3 menu pages display in full color. What's up with that? I have to use the RCA cables to watch the blue ray's. Any ideas out there? We all know the HDMI cable has superior resolution... help!

The Best way to fix a problem like this is to use a PS3 Repair Guide.
You can find a good one here:

i too have a 50 inch phillips plasma, and playing blueray discs through my ps3 the picture has green back ground.
Green bar to the left and bottom of my LCD. VERY distracting. Brand new playstation 3 right out of the box.
