Can anyone tell me what F06 error code means on the whirlpool 6th sense 10kg washer? and what to do about it as the screen is flashing but the door to the machine is locked. Thanks

Hi. I have a Whirlpool 6th sense front loader 11kg washing machine (AWM 1008). After some very cold weather I now have an error code of FA. Do you know what this means and what I need to do? Thanks

Solution from a previous post i found for you.
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
Check the Drive Motor
Check the MCU
Check the Wire Harness

Most of the solutions i found for this same error were very similar. If all else fails read the manual or get a new washer when possible.

FP code appearing on lcd disply

remove pump and check pump for foreign objects stopping impellor turning, worked for me hope this helps

The drainage pipe was blocked so I simply un-clogged it and made the machine drain and it all seems to be going well. Cheers.

I have found what you looking for and i hope this help's yo. let me know.
F/06 Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.
