Goodman GDS80904BNA LED Blinks 3 Times

LED Blinks 3 times when Goodman GDS80904BNA furnace quits working. Hose is not kinked from fan to pressure switch. When working, I can disconnect one wire to pressure switch and gas shuts off like it should. The odd thing is that if I leave the front cover off, the furnace will run flawlessly. I am thinking that the board need to be replaced. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I disconnected the wires on top from the thermostat and flipped the circuit board over and there was discoloration in a couple of spots so I am pretty sure the board is bad. I will order a new one that is the improved version of the PCBBF112S. Here is a pic of the back of the board.http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs066.snc3...

John White, it could very well be the pressure switch... this is well documented in this video blog:http://gasfurnacestartupsequence.blogspo...

Had similar problems with same furnace. I think the 3 blinks is high limit event. either way with the power off to the furnace remove the board from the 4 clips holding it on one at a time then turn it over and look at it you will be able to tell if the board is bad because it will appear scortched and the resin will be bubbled up where it went bad. replace board and you will be fine. went through 2 in 2 years all of a sudden they are being made by a different company from the original and the 1st replacement. now all is fine. Take a good picture of the board close up so you can reconnect all the wires properly. Friend of mine got it from a wholesaler for $55.00

Testimonial: "The circuit board was definately the problem. Got it replace (still under warranty) with an updated board and everything is working great. Thanks!"

if it is three blinks then it should be the pressure switch, you can blow through the tube(both ways) and it should work. here is a thread I found:

Need to find the pressure switch on my goodman furnace

It's mounted onto the gas valve. It will be a button or lever that you have to push in or down, depending on the style.

I have a goodman GMP 125-5 furnace. I have

sounds like the primary limit typically behind the gas valve its larger then the others, rectangle in shape with 2 wires going to it. be careful if your bypassing limit this can create a very hazardous condition

I had the same problem, I had to remove the lower black rubber stopper right next to the exaust fan and hook up a drain to the unit, as soon as the water drained out the furnace fired right up.

Goodman gmp075-3 led blinks 5 times

I Also have the same and other problems with my furnace model # GDS80703AXBB. First the LED kept blinking 4 times and I too jumped the primary limit, that didn't kelp. After several attemps I moved the wires going to the circut board and everything starting working again. After a week It stopped working again, so I pulled the plug out of the circut board checked all wires for for a bad connection plugged it back in. Now the LED blinks 6 times again I move the wires. Then the LED blinks 3 times. Then the transformer burns out. I have burned out 2 transformers and I have ordered a new circut board.

Ok, you either have a inducer fan issue or a pressure switch issue or a plugged vent pipe. The inducer turns on to establish a draft for the exhaust. If it is not working you will get this error code. If the pressure switch does not sense pressure caused by the inducer, it will give this code. If either the intake pipe or exhaust pipe is blocked (even y just a little) it will give you the same error code. If the condensate hose or receptical is plugged, again it will give you this error code. Good Luck!

the pressure switch is closed before the draft motor closes it.the board is telling you that this is not right.pull the wire(either) off of the pressure switch to see if furnace tries to light.if it does, you should replace the pressure switch.
