When I use channel search on my antenna in my motorhome on my Dnex 32 inch, I get a number in the RF CH selection as well as Analog, Digital etc. Whagt is the RF CH number used for?? Is it extra channels I get or do I use it for anything? James
RF is used for Radio Frequency on your Qam tuner to break it down its the tuner like cheel 1-99 or 1-125 or digital RF clear Qam tuner so RF is your tuner respectivly. You would use this when you have a OTA over the air antenna or sraight cable meaning from wall outlet to tuner not wall outlet to cablebox.
I hope this clears up the meaning.

Both the ATSC and DVB-T specifications allow what are known as virtual channels, which are software-defined "channels" which correspond to a specific RF channel which carries the actual broadcast streams. These channels are assigned in the same way as they were in the old NTSC analog standard: there is a chart of these frequencies at

1 Press the MENU key on the remote control to
display the Main menu.
2 Use the CURSOR "UP" or "Down"
keys to highlight
Manual Channel Search. Press ENTER.
3 Use the CURSOR "Up" or "Down"
keys to select Cable,
Air (Antenna), or Digital Add-On.
After the search is complete, the HDTV will exit the
menu system and return to normal TV viewing.
IMPORTANT FACT: This HDTV maintains only one database
of digital channels. Therefore, when you search for
cable channels, the database of antenna digital channels
will be deleted. You will only be able to receive those
ClearQAM channels your cable company provides.
NOTE:"Not available" will appear on the screen
when an option is unavailable.
