After downloading the disk, my computer is unable to connect to the Belkin router.

To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is configured in the Wireless settings in the Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase or WPA or WPA2 key that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Im programing my x box 360 it needs me to program the wpa net work to get this new x bow to work. im new at this expain things very clear , thanks

Follow these instructions to set up the Xbox or Xbox 360 connections to a wireless home network. These instructions assume the wireless router is already installed with a working Internet connection. If after following these instructions you are unable to network your Xbox with the wireless router, see - Connecting Xbox to Wireless Networks - Why Things Go Wrong

Here's How:
  1. Connect the appropriate wireless network adapter to the console. On the Xbox, a Wi-Fi adapter that connects to the Ethernet port (sometimes also called a wireless network bridge) must be used. Alternatively, the Xbox 360 is also designed to work with certain Wi-Fi game adapters that connect to a USB port.

  2. Turn on the console and navigate to the wireless settings screen. On the Xbox, the menu path is "Settings -> Network Settings -> Advanced -> Wireless -> Settings" On the Xbox 360, the menu path is "System -> Network Settings -> Edit Settings."

  3. Set the SSID (network name) on the Xbox to match that of the wireless router. If your wireless router has enabled SSID broadcast, the SSID name should appear pre-selected on the Xbox display. Otherwise, select the "Specify Unlisted Network" option and enter the SSID there.

  4. Specify "Infrastructure" as the Network Mode. (Infrastructure is the mode used by wireless routers.)

  5. Set the Security Type to match that of the wireless router. If your router uses WPA encryption and the type of adapter connected to the Xbox does not support WPA, you will need to change your router settings to use WEP encryption instead. Note that the standard Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter supports WPA while the standard Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter (MN-740) only supports WEP.
  6. Save your settings and verify the network is functional.

On the Xbox, the Wireless Status screen displays whether a connection has successfully been made with the wireless router, and the Connect Status screen displays whether a connection has successfully been made through the Internet to Xbox Live.

On the Xbox 360, use the "Test Xbox Live Connection" option instead.
Tips:
  1. Even when your wireless connection between the Xbox and the router is working perfectly, you may still experience difficulty connecting to Xbox Live. These issues can be caused by the quality of your Internet connection or the firewall and Network Address Translation (NAT) settings of your wireless router. Additional troubleshooting may be required in these areas to achieve reliable Xbox Live connections.

Cant get online

Before you can go online on the PS3, there is need for you to have either a wireless lan network or a wired network with an ethernet cable.
If you are using a wireless network, here is how you go about it
  1. Make sure your wireless Internet connection is active and at full strength. Unplug the PS3's Ethernet cable if it is plugged into the system.
  2. Turn on the Playstation 3 game console and select "Network Settings" under the "Settings" option in the main menu.
  3. Select the "Internet Connection Settings" tab and select "Yes" when the system displays a new screen saying you will be disconnected from the Internet.
  4. Select "Easy" on the next screen that asks what type of installation you want to use.
  5. Select "Wireless" when it asks you what type of Internet connection you have.
  6. Select "Scan" on the next screen. The system will search for all available Internet connections in the area.
  7. Select your home Internet connection when the screen pops up displaying the available Internet options. Select your security settings and enter your encryption key. Save your settings.
  8. Test the connection by selecting the "Test Connection" option. If the connection has been made, your network information will appear on the screen.
If you are using a wired connection. just go over the same steps but select the wired connection instead of the wireless connection.
Hope this was helpful? Please comment for more information.

Suddenly today after working for a couple of years all the lights are on solid and my wireless laptops can not find the router

To connect to your wireless network using Vista's WLAN Autoconfig, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Right-click this icon 5449-001.png at the bottom-right corner of the screen and select Connect to a network.

5449-003.png

Step 2:

Select your Wireless Network Name or SSID then click Connect.

5449-005.png

NOTE:
If the wireless network name or your SSID is not listed, the SSID Broadcast on the router might be disabled. For instructions on how to connect to the wireless network with the SSID broadcast being disabled, click here.
If the computer is not detecting any signal or is not seeing any wireless network, change the channel of the router. For instructions, click here.
If WEP/WPA is enabled on the router:
Step 3:
Enter your wireless network WEP/WPA Key on the field provided then click Connect.
NOTE: To learn more about WEP/WPA and other Wireless Settings, click here.

5449-007.png

NOTE: Make sure Display characters is checked, to display the WEP/WPA key used by the router. You can get the passphrase or network key from the encryption that has been generated (if using WEP network security) from the router's web-based setup page. If you're using WPA network security, the network key is the key for passphrase.

Make sure you enter the wireless network's WEP or WPA key not the Passphrase.

It is also possible to make a wireless connection even if the wireless security is disabled on your router. If you don't see any network SSID from your network list, make sure your wireless adapter/device is ON and your router is in good condition. If your router shows any unstable occurrence, click here.

When I try to login through my wireless router it sometimes connects and displays the correct name "toby" for the connection and is fast (54 Mbs); but sometimes it connects and displays the name "access...

You need to set up your computer's wireless connection. Your computer right now sounds like it defaults to connect to either the "toby" or the "access point" networks. There should be an icon on the task bar, at the bottom right of your screen if you are running windows, that displays information on your wireless network connection when you place the cursor over it. The icon looks like a little desktop with some waves coming out of it.
Open up the control panel for your wireless network and disable the auto-connect feature for the "access point" network. This can vary depending on what type of wireless card you have installed.
You will now only find yourself connected to the fast "toby" network.
