First off, you need to hook up audio and video by using an A/V cable to connect the DVD player to the TV, yellow, white and red jacks are coded, match the jacks up, put one end of A/V cable to DVD player OUTPUT jacks and the other end to INPUT jacks in back of TV. Also same with Direct TV receiver, hook top set of jacks to TV, with A/V cable, also connect coaxial cable from satelite to matching satelite input jack. Connect power cables, and then you're set. Good luck to you!

Video in not working

When you plug the AV cables into the receiver make sure that the channel that it is plugged into is selected on the front of the receiver. Also note that the receiver should have a monitor output that should be plugged into the TV and the TV input must be selected on the TV.

I have a Denon AVR-3803 receiver and I have a DirecTV HD DVR HR 20-700. We believed someone hit a button on the receiver to cause the screen to go black. What buttons should we be pressing to try and...

First thing would be to check all the input settings on the TV and Receiver. Without knowing how it's connected, follow the cables from the Direct TV receiver to the AV receiver then to the TV and note the location. (input name) on the electronics back panel. Then make sure the TV is on that input, (Video1, Video 2, etc) Same on the AV Receiver, make sure the name on the back of the unit where the video cable is plugged into is displayed on the front of the Receivers display (CBL/SAT, HDTV, etc.) Lastly, make sure all the products are "on" especially the Direct TV receiver. It happens! Hope this helps. If you still have an issue, post a comment/reply and I can help you further diagnose the problem.

How do I set up my Panasonic Viera to connect via HDMI to my Direct TV receiver?

Cliff, it al depends on what kind of DIRECT TV receiver you have, if it has an HDMI port on the back of the receiver then all you have to do is plug it in and change the input on your TV to HDMI

I just got a Sony Trinatron Wega tv model no KV224FS120 poweer & display are fine; need help programming available channels from remote

Are you using a Cable or SAT service or is the coax cable plugged directly into the TV? If it is directly plugged into the tv, select Menu from the TV remote. Find either Sources or Connections to display how the TV signal is to be received. Select "Cable" not "Air" and let it auto program. This will take several minutes. Be sure when complete to select "TV" from the Input button on the remote.

If you are using a Cable or SAT service, the TV should be on 2, 3 or 4. Some units have a button on the back of the tv for confirmation. Please follow up and confirm this resolved the problem and/or add information from my questions.

Dead unit

I'm sorry to hear about your DISH Network DVR-625 receiver. If you don't mind me asking & to allow me to further assist you, what exactly do you mean by "dead unit"," For example, was it working and has suddenly stopped working? Does it power on, can you see any lights on the front of your receiver? Is it plugged directly into a electrical outlet on the wall, or is it plugged into a power strip/surge protector? If plugged into a power strip/surge protector, please attempt to bypass by plugging the receiver directly into an electrical outlet- if plugged into an electrical outlet please try a different outlet. I hope these few tips may help but if not and you need further assistance please feel free to contact me @ [email protected] :)

I have a HDMI cable hooked between my Direct tv DVR receiver and my Samsung flat screen HD plasma tv. When I turn to Direct tv channels 100 or 200 the screen begins to flicker. My tv is 1080i. This is what...

If the TV just Flickers for a few Seconds then the Picture is Good and Stable, That is just the HDMI re-syncing often due to different signals from 480i to 1080i being broadcasted. If it continues to Flicker then check the options for Video set-up in your DTV menu. Make sure all available resolutions are checked to display or select AUTO if possible. TIP: NEVER Unplug or Plug in HDMI cables with the Power ON. This can Short out the HDMI Input leading to a Repair. Turn off All Units then plug in your cables, When ALL are in then hit the Powers.
