OE message on our LG WM1832CW washer

We just got a OE message, could someone please let us know what it may mean and how to fix it. We are also getting a mildew smell in the clothes that we never had before.

Thanks,
Ritchie McCulloch

got OE code what does this mean?

  • Anonymous Nov 24, 2008

I cleaned filter which wasn't dirty, did air pressure test on waste line to filter which flows freely but OE code continues to display. Is the pump bad?

I have the same problem. It works fine sometimes and then other times it won't work.

I just was searching for the same exact error on my LG WM1832CW washer. From reading the other posts on different manufacturers I realized this was a pump clog issue for mine too. There is a small door near the bottom of the front of the washer and if you open that there is a filter basket. Once you start turning it and break the seal, the water will come out quickly, have 2 flat large tupperwares so you can catch the water. Once you clean out that filter it's good to go. A 5 minute job.
