Network printing with a non-networked printer This model printer has only an USB printer connection andnormally connected to a computer or laptop. To connect this printer wirelessly to all laptops on your wireless networkthere are a couple of methods. Connect the printer to a desktop computer and setup the printer as a sharedprinter. Next connect the desktop computer to your wireless router with a LANcable and then configure the wireless laptops to connect to the shared printeron the desktop computer. NOTE - This desktop computer and printer must be on atall times for the wireless laptops to print to the printer. OTHER METHOD Connect the printer to an USB print server and connect the print server to thewireless router with a LAN cable. The printer drivers needs to be installed onall the wireless laptops and then the printer port needs to be deleted from theUSB port and a new IP address printer port installed. This IP address will bethe IP address of the print server.
Based on your post description, I am assuming that: 1. You can connect to the Internet through your 2241 Neptoia modem; 2. You can access your WRT54G V8 Linksys Wireless router @ 192.168.1.1; 3. Both 1 & 2 above could be done through a wireless connection from your PC.
Connect everything as they are supposed to be wired (printer, Print Server, modem, router etc)
Pls try: a. Connect the Linksys wireless print server using a lan cable to the Linksys WRT54G Wireless AP/router. (Will tackle the wireless connection a bit later) b. Reset your print server; & c. Do a diagnostic print-out. Instructions for b & c are in page 4 of your manual.
You need to verify that: i. the Power indicator is contnously green ii. the Ethernet indicator is contnously green iii. the USB indicator is contnously green iv. the Wireless indicator may or may not be contnously green
Pls post back with the generated diagnostic print-out before we can proceed with the other steps.
Additionally, try installing the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 direct to one of the USB ports of your PC. Use the installer/driver CD that came with it. Try using it as a regular printer. This will tell us status of the printer.

I will try to guess that you want your printer connected to your laptop as wireless.
-first you need to prepare all the things needed and make sure that you connected/installed the cartridges and you have located the port where your power cable needs to plug-in.
-2nd I hope your laptop does have an optical drive (CD/DVD drive).
-on the package of your printer there should be a drivers disk.
-you need to enter the drivers disk on the optical drive then just let it run.
-when you have the GUI of the driver there is an option to install everything.
-make sure that you did not connect your USB cable to the laptop if theres any.
-when running the driver it will come to a point where it will ask you to connect the printer (USB, Network, Wireless)
-if you have the USB cable, use that cable first to connect after you turn on the printer.
-later after the installation was completed, run the disk again then there should be an option to convert the connection from wired to wireless.
-if you dont have the USB cable comeback to me then I will give the the steps to connect it using wireless connection.
Did you install anything new on the computer you are working on? I suggest you to check the version of your printer driver software according to the driver CD you had and reinstall the compatible version of the driver on your computer with a USB cable connected after totally remove the drivers and settings for that printer on your computer now.
hi.
if u dont have the cd,try the downloaded version from www.lexmark.com ..try connecting usb cable and check if printer works,,,if it does then its an issue with wireless connectivity..
good luck
if you had the printer before using the USB cable. then you changed it to wireless, try the ff:
1. re-insert the CD the came with the box, the cd that you used to install the printer Software to your computer.
2. after inserting the cd, it will give you option "add a device".
3. click on that to install the printer driver for WIRELESS.
note: the reason why you cant print, is mainly because the printer driver you have is still for USB connection. so inorder for you to be able to print, you need to install a printer DRIVER for wireless... That should WORK..
most network printers DON'T require a driver to print via the network, all you have to do is to select it from the printers list when you are sending the print job.
What OS are you using? Are you getting any error messages?
Does the printer have a built-in print server? Do you have a wireless router?
