F12 code problem with indesit we16

if your machine is a Hotpoint/Indesit the F-12 error code is a communication error between the main pcb and the display pcb. No simple fix im afraid, a new main pcb is required.

you will need to contact the manufacturer.

F12 indicates that the upper control board is not communicating with the main control board, check its wiring and its connections.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
The decode for Hotpoint (Indesit) 'f12' is 'communications failure', and is often caused by poor contacts between plugs, cables and the control board. It sounds drastic but is as often cured by re-seating (unplugging and re-plugging) the plugs and cables. Sorry but unfortunately this entails an engineer call ;-0(
