Dryer beeps, shuts down

While dryer is off it will make a single beep every few minutes and it will not start. I unplugged and plugged back in, hit start, dryer started and ran for a few minutes then stopped on it's own. I think the beep must be a warning. The top left of the control area of machine is warm to the touch even when it's off. Maybe an elecrtical problem?

    The repair man came and said the same thing ... only to buy it online and it would be cheaper. So it's been ordered for $143 and we're going to do it ourselves.

    Dryer is working fine but when it is off it will beepseveral time every 30 seconds or so. It will not stop beeping. It has done this a couple other times. It just resolves itself some how. This time we are having trouble with the contrl buttons not working. If we keep pushing them the will work

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, model# FEQ1442ES, will not start. I also see that when you press the start button, the lights above the Control button blink and your dryer beeps. DYRER PROBLEMS
i took the top off checked all the wiring, cleaned the back vents, and the vent tube going outside. I also cleaned the lint screen and gaurd really good, put it all back together. I also unplugged the dryer waited a few minutes and plugged back in. The dryer had a code flashing saying it lost power, I reset the dryer and it has been working great now. Evedently it must be sensitive.
