My Sony Bravia KDL46XBR was purchased Feb 2008 has begun to turn itself off. When this happens, the red power/stand by light flashes twice with a gap of a few seconds. Removing the power cable from power point & leaving overnight, solves the problem for about 7 days, then this problem reoccurs. The original failure was after a momentary power cut-out problem did not reoccur for 3 months. All my other appliances are O.K.
- Now with Bravia Sync the TV also turns off the new BluRay at the same time. So I think the TV may be switching itself off rather than cutting out.
Your power board got zapped you will need to replace it.
Problem with my Sony KDL-46XBR LCD TV
I purchased this TV in May 08 and now when you turn it on the right hand side of the screen runs down the screen. Sorry's hard to describe. A bit like ghosting. I have truned it off at the main switch etc but it seems once it has warm up the screen comes good. It is the same with the DVD and Bluray , so its not a aerial issue. Thanks Vanessa
