I presume you mean walking belt rather then the drive belt under the motor hood. You will need to loosen and remove the front and rear rollers and also remove the bolts on one side of the deck. This will allow you to slide the old belt off and fit the new belt. Then tighten the deck bolts, replace and refit both rollers. When removing the front roller first measure the securing bolt so you can set this again when reassembling. With the rear roller tighten both bolts the same to keep the belt straight. hope this makes sense.
From the manual: Troubleshooting
Symptom: The walking belt slows when walked on
a. If an extension cord is needed, use only a 14-gauge general purpose cord of five feet or less in length.
b. If the walking belt is over-tightened, the treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be permanently damaged. Remove the safety key and UNPLUG the power cord. Using the 3/16" allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise. 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3-4 inches off the walking platform. The center of the walking belt should just touch the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert safety key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
c. If problem persists, contact customer service.
re ajust the rear roller, with a allen screw or hex nut, too tighten up, meaning putting more tention on the Mat belt, that you walk on, that should solve the problem,.
Just remember that the number one cause of failure of the motor controller is high walking belt friction. I always make sense to replace the walking belt when you are replacing the motor controller on the Iron Man Treadmill.
If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened,
you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug
in the power cord, insert the key, and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
I'm sorry to say that the belt is toast and needs to be replaced. I would also check the end caps I believed it is a one piece unit that the belt
tension bolt is attached and the left side had cracked and cause this problem. Call Icon Fitness @ 1-800-999-3756 with locating the proper parts and pricing
