Looking at them from the picture provided by FixYa, I rather think there's no circuitry involved! It looks like the wires go into two speakers. As you don't say what the fault is then I will guess a few things for you and some solutions.
1 One side dead - fault in plug or cable or speaker.
2 Cutting out - faulty cable or plug.
3 No sound - faulty cable or plug.
If you need to get to the speaker, remove the pad, remove foam (force it if it won't come off, glue on when finished). You should see screws then.
You should be able to get a new cable/plug from any good electrical parts shop such as Maplin or RadioShack. You will probably need to contact the maker for a new speaker.

there is a circuit board, it is in the box attached to the cable, where you put the batteries. the problem is that there are many wires, but they are not colour coded to where on the circuit board they are meant to be. There is no way to figure out which goes where. this is what we need.
noit answers to problems that we can find the solution for ourselves.

I have broken the top of my headphones, the part that locks the to when you unfold them and fold them up. They are an older model which are in good shape never got tryed to see if they can be fixed

Hi, if the headphones still work and are broken have you tried obtaining a good quality glue to repair the h/phones broken part , but the upside is they will not be fold-able after glueing.

Change main fuse but still not working right

First of all, nothing wrong with the fuse. A fuse is nothing but a short piece of wire with a resistance value. If the unit turns on, fuse is fine. The fact that the headphones you plugged in are working tells you that the music is finding it's way up to that point. You must realize that the speakers themselves have additional circuitry that the headphones don't use. If you could obtain a diagram for the circuitry you might find that a capacitor or a diode or a transistor got "zapped" when the high voltage was applied.
If you have this diagram and you don't know what component is defective, can you post that diagram and I would be glad to help!

On the HTC Wildfire A510e, the headphone jack isn't properly working. When the headphone is forced in and/or positioned oddly, it works. Otherwise, nothing. Its not the headphones itself, i looked into...

Hi Xzavier,
Sounds like a loose or broken connection in the phone itself, especially if you tried the headphones in another phone and it worked. I would suggest taking it to your provider and see if they can fix or exchange it for you.
Thanks,
Gary

Broken headphone jack

You can always buy USB sound card from ebay. It's the easy way.
It's looks like that:

Hi I have a marshall haze15w amp and stack, the problem seems to

There are many models of Marshal amps icluding 15Watt types.

First thing to try is to see if headphones have normal volume. If they do, then the headphone jack switch that connects the speaker is LIKELY bad.

If the headphones do not have any volume, LIKELY causes are:

1. Fried output power amp

2. Volume pot is broken or has bad solder joints to the circuit board.

Loose/broken wire

the best way to check if the head speaker is ok, is by opening up the headphone bit and disconnect the wires and make a new connection with a naked end , and test it in a stereo, if that still works the you wont have to buy new headphones you can just disconnect all the wires and buy or make you own connection again. let me know if you help making a new connection. cheers

Snapped at the top.. anyway of fixing it?

The person above has no idea what he is talking about. I've tried it all: Super glue, gorilla glue, all kinds of bonds but nothing works. The problem is that eveytime you use it the plastic is strained and it flexes to match the size of your head and it will give way where it is weak (i.e. the part where it snapped) My dad just melted the plastic with stove fire and smeared the liquified plastic with a heated screwdriver. It's been fine so far. But please do be careful. You might want to ask a person who is good with their hands to do this kind of job. Good luck.

Headphone jack does not work

It could be a broken or cold solder on the motherboard OR the circuit on the motherboard is defective. Either way the motherboard has to be removed from the laptop to fix or replace it.

Midiland ir-hf1 right speaker broken

Hi evtan

The only thing I can suggest you do is to swap the right and left inputs to the transmitter base over whilst wearing the headphones. If the fault transfers to the other channel, then you have a faulty interconnect lead that needs to be replaced. If it stays with the same channel, then the headphones or the base staion will be faulty. Best bet then is to return it to the place you purchased it from and request a replacement unit,. Thanks for using FixYa....a FixYa rating is a great reward from you to me for helping out :) Cheers
