I never change ink cartridges before. I need to change cause my ink is low. I don't know how to get to them to change it. I know its probably something really easy but don't know how. Please help.

Install the Print Head and Ink Tanks
Instructions to install the print head and ink tanks.
Confirm that the printer is powered on and press the <Open> button. (The paper output tray will open.)
Lift the scanning unit (printer cover) completely. (The print head will move to the replacement position.)
Note:
When the scanning unit (printer cover) is opened more than ten minutes,
the print head moves to the right side. If this occurs, close the
scanning unit (printer cover), and open it again.
Pull out the print head from its package, then remove the orange protective cap from it.
Caution:
Do not touch the print head nozzles <1> , electrical contacts
<2>, or ink supply ports <3>. Doing so may cause printing

Place the print head in the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever cachange ink cartidges - 03rq02454_04.gifu hear a click.

Caution:
Do not touch the ink tank contact <6>. Doing so may cause
printing problems. Do not squeeze the side of ink tanks as this may
cause the ink to leak out. Do not reattach the protective cap once you
have removed it.

Ensure that all the ink tanks are installed properly and the ink tank lamps light red.
Close the inner cover and the scanning unit (printer cover).
Caution: When closing the scanning unit (printer cover), be careful not to jam fingers.
Note: The next printing begins, the print head cleaning will begin automatically.
Ink Tank Lamp indications
You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes.
- On: The printer is ready to print.
- Slow flashing (at about three second interval): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank.
- Fast flashing (at about one second interval): Ink tank is empty, or the printer is not ready due to an error.
- Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.

Maybe the cartridge is not seated well in the carrier or just needs cleaning. Remove the cartridge from the printer. Follow these steps in manually cleaning the nozzles of the cartridge.
If problem persists, it's probably a defective cartridge. You might want to contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance since it's a brand new cartridge.
There is a 'low toner' override in the menu system, but if this has NOT been set already, a 'flag' will be set on the chip on the cartridges that are low/empty.
The printer needs to 'see' cartridges that are usable, i.e. NOT empty, in order to function.
It is possible to replace just the chips on the colour cartridges, but then any colour printing quality could be compromised of course, as the colours will be low/empty. You would then be able to use the printer as if it were a mono laser, just changing the black cartridge when needed
the solid light means toner is low. Blinking usually means either the cartridge is out of toner or the cartridge is having a technical problem. If you pull the yellow toner cartridge and put it back in with no change in result, you will need to replace the yellow toner cartidge

don't know how to change the ink on this type of printer please help me ASAP...I am out of INK and Need to print documents.
