When we power the TV up, we get a blue light, but no sound and no picture. The TV tries to come on but goes through some type of cycle, almost like it is turning on and off every few seconds, for 5-10 minutes before it actually gets a picture and sound.
What is going on and what do I have to get repaired?
Thanks!

It sounds like the red LED is signifying a fault. Check your manual (or ring the manufacturer's support line) to find out what the red LED means. If it does in fact signify a fault, file a fault with the manufacturer and return it to them under warranty (if you still have it).

I would concentrate on the power supply section. Look for bad filter caps or bad solder connections. The 5V line should be good, but check for the 12V lines as well as the higher voltage lines.

Sorry to say but I believe you have what the rest of us have had happen to our TV's. There are three capacitors on your TV's power board that have gone bad. It is an easy fix and I only paid $5.16 for the capacitors required for the fix, but if you don't have the desire to do it yourself the power board is available on bestbuy.com for about $100. You can replace it easily enough with a philips screwdriver.
Make sure you un plug it first.
This seems to be pretty common with alot of LCD TV's from what I've seen here recently.
Good luck with it,
John
