My Saitek GH20 Headset Mic Buzzing

My Saitek GH20 Headset is great for my music with the vibration and everything.

However, I'm getting a constant buzz feedback whenever I use the mic. Its really annoying when talking to my guild mates over Ventrilo and they have to complain about the severe buzz.

Please help.

Hello.

I had the same problem for like ten minutes ago. I have a Swedish Vista computer and don't know all the translations but I'll give it a go.
This will reduce the buzzing not remove it.

Go to the control panel and click "sound". From there go to "recording" And double click on the microphone. You should get a new screen up. Click to the second button "Levels". Now drag the "microphonestrenghning" (the bottom one) and drag it down to 0 DB.
(optional) Drag the "Microphone" up to 100.

Hope this help you. It worked for me at least. :D

Behringer Xenyx 502 Mic buzzing...PLEASE HELP

Get yourself anti-static spray and spray over the connector before inserting into the jack, most times its dust or static buildup which causes that buzzing sound and in other times replace your mic

you could try the following:
1. Enable it For Windows 7: Start> control panel> sound & hardware> sound> manage audio devices For XP/vista: Start> control panel> sound & audio devices> voice>
2. Disconnect the cables from the computer: restart the computer, then plug it back in 3. Check if you have the latest drivers(if applicable) on the Saitek website

My headede is buzzing with Saitek Pro headse, but I have another cheaper headset same connections as Saitek with no buzzing. Can anyone help? Best regards Benny Rosenfeld

Hi,

It could be something in the wiring.

Thy the headset with am mp3 player or another computer to see if the buzzing persists.
If it does then the headsets are faulty and you'll need to get a replacement for them from your retailer or Saitek themselves.

Hope it helps...

Computer wont recognize me Saitek GH20 Headset

I have the same problem. I suspect that this headset is not USB compatible at all. It possibly only uses the USB connection as a source of power (for the vibration effect). This is a problem for me because I wanted to use the headset on a PS3. Saitek don't claim that it works with the PS3, but the claim of USB compatibility is ambiguous and misleading in my opinion.

HELP my headset is buzzing lol!!!!

try muting the mic under windows sound properties then unmuting it , or uncheck the 20% mic boost, also you can try reinstalling your sound drivers, they may have gotten corrupted

Sound card broken? No normal sound and a constant buzz...

Sounds like you tried everything possible. Based on what you have stated that you tried already I would agree with your diagnosis of a bad sound card.
If this was my Laptop I would be looking for a nice set of USB speakers and Microphone or a headset.
You can either keep the speakers turned down or you may be able to disable the onboard sound through a BIOS setting.

Or even better. Here is a USB sound card with speaker and microphone jacks. Pretty Cheap too.

jamin is not silent.
jamin can vibrate but wont ring.
music works fine only if though a headset.
calls work fine only if through a headset.
was working fine playing music and then we tried to make a call after pulling out the headset and got no audio and as it was expecting a headset it wasnt picking anything up from the mic. maybe its a mic issue? ie mic died so jamin switches to headset? just thought of that so will investigate.
