Frigidaire gallery stackable heavy duty washer stopped spinning and there was a electrical burning smell. what is this?

I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

Hello serratosal - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may have a broken belt or a faulty control board. Often when the belt is damaged, the unit will try to spin but it causes it to burn and eventually blow the control board. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Sounds like it is worn out. Get a parts diagram and take it apart and see what parts are missing or worn out. The belt is probably coming apart and that is the black stuff. There are several plastic wear plates and a bearing/bushing for the drum, plus the belt idler and all these can wear out. The motor could also have a bad bushing in it but more than likely that will require a new motor as they don't usually sell just the bushing or end caps.

Sounds like the bearing is gone, call a repiar man or buy new as repairman 100 per call

The drum shaft came loose from drum. You can YouTube it for procedure of disassembly of dryer. Remount shaft, if screws are bad may need new shaft with screws, make sure it is tight to drum. While you have it apart you can clean out lint.

The identification label from a Frigidaire Gallery Commercial Heavy Duty Moisture Sensor drier has come off. I need to download operating/user manual. How can I get the serial no. or model no. The drier is 4 years old.
