push and hold the power button, i did yhat to mine and it now works,also if it comes on reset the tv

Shut off the tv, unplug it, hold the power button on the tv for 90 seconds. Plug it back in. Hit menu? Do you see a menu? (if not, your tv needs serviced)

You might also have a cracked LCD.

I received no replies to my request. I guest I stumped 2 million techs. I'll just buy a new TV with a 5 yr warranty. No thanks to joining your service, I can do bad all by myself.

Try power-cycling (turn it off and unplug for several minutes) and restoring the TV to factory defaults. Also, to ensure that the remote isn't causing the problem, remove its batteries and press all of the buttons before installing a fresh set. If these steps don't correct the problem, repairs may be required. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase.

Very well could be the circuit board. What you describe is VERY common in newer tv's. The company says this supposedly this will be fixed in the new firmware they claim will be sent out soon. The only way you shouldn't experience it, is if I hook nothing to the HDMI input.

My solution is: You have entered a diagnostic color test. With the TV powered on, hold the 'Menu' & 'Enter' together, then press the power button.

check for capacitors on the power supply that are puffed up. Also the mai board can cause this but the power supply is where i would start.

did you try calling the (877) 467-4289 Insignia help line?  I think they're open 24/7.  They just solved another Insignia problem for me.
