What is the rpm of artisan 300watts

On low speed roughly 1 rotation of the planetary per second. On high speed it should be the maximum speed that motor can run at, too fast to count that's for sure.

K5a kitchenaid

To adjust the K-5A, there is no little screw under the motor head. However, you can easily adjust it by tightening the 7/16 bolt that is accessible under the mixer base. Simply lay over the mixer (after unplugging it), use a 7/16 long head socket and extension, and tighten a 1/4 turn at a time to raise the bowl. FYI, we've had this mixer for 20 years and I've never done it before. Mine took 6 separate 1/4 turns (totaling 1 1/2) turns to move the dime slightly on each rotation. Works great now!

Motor does not start until switch is in 4-5 position, also the arm does not turn.

It looks like you may have two different problems. First, you must adjust the mixer speeds.
Second, if the motor runs at different speeds but the Planetary Assembly does not rotate, then
you may have a stripped Worm Gear Follower.
The K5SS is very similar to the 5-qt. tilt-head Artisan Stand Mixer.
You need to adjust the mixer speeds. Obtain a copy of the K5SS Repair Part List from Kitchenaid.com. Remove the screw holding the End Cover and locate the three screws from the Control Plate. All three (2 top left and right, and 1 bottom) must all be adjusted. 1. Loosen the lock nuts enough & Turn the 2 top screws clockwise until they cannot be turned
anymore. Leave the bottom screw alone for now.
2. Use a dab of white paint or paper whiteout to mark the positions of the Phillips screws.
3. Plug in your mixer and Set the speed selector to "Stir".
4. Turn each top screw One full turn couterclockwise (alternating between Left and Right)
Keep making one full turn at the time (for both left and right) until the motor starts running.
5. Put your hand near the Agitator shaft and allow it to brush your finger slightly. Use your
watch or clock and start counting the number of times the shaft touches your finger in
60 seconds. The correct count should be 60 RPM (Rounds Per Minute). If it is less
or more than 60, give each screw 1/4 turn counterclockwise or clockwise and start counting
again. Now tighten both lock nuts.
6. Set the speed selector to "6" and turn the bottom screw either clockwise or counterclockwise
to achieve a speed of 180 RPM.

For your reference, the planetary RPM's for the 5-qt. tilt-head Artisan Stand Mixer are as follows:
Stir speed - 60
Speed 2 - 95
Speed 4 - 135
Speed 6 - 180
Speed 8 - 225
Speed 10 - 280

I was using meat grinder attachment and stand mixer stopped running

I just got the same problem too. There was a little piece of fat in the meat and it stopped the grinder. I removed it but the attachment rotates a full turn and then stops. The same happens with other attachments even under practically no load.

Our Hobart A200 Mixer only turns on for a few seconds. It has a lot of saftey features that were not familiar with. How do i get to work properly.

It sounds like you get a degrading or bad start capacitor (locate right behind motor cover (see fig 22, page 12 of part catalog, cost $13). Here how you can check if your machine still work properly: 1- Rotate the agitator shaft manually to check for any binding. 2- remove two wires from the capacitor. 3- Use a small jumper, connect one end jumper to one wire and touch the other end jumper to second wire 4- As soon as motor start, remove the jumper. Good luck, If your ,machine have never have preventive mainternance it is a time to do so. (atva)

Mixer started and turned 1/4 revolution and stopped. Has not started again. Have power applied. What could be the problem?

Unplug, remove the beatters and try again. If still no go, unplug , insert one beatter and try using beater to turn in oppodit direct . Then, if you were able to move it. install second beter and try again. If the evil thing runs, let it run free for several minutes to clean up any gear burs or alignment issues. Good luck and never grab the beaters with the mixer plugged in.

Speed Control Unit test?

Take off the back cover. there should be 2 screws on top of a piece of metal, 1 on bottom. Start on turn. it should go about 1x a second. Turn the top scrws. Then go to 6. it should be 3x a second. Use the bottom screw to adjust that. When turn and 6 are corrrect, all other sppeeds are right. There might be something else in between the back cover and the 3 screw panel.
