Just to clarify: find a pair of RCA (red and white audio out) jacks on the back of the TV, and connect those with an RCA patch cable to most likely the AUX input on back of the receiver (don't use the PHONO input).

NTSC and Pal are mainly related to Cable/Air reception. Unless you are trying to connect a SCART cable, you can probably just use the video inputs of the TV. Power Supply differences will be the big issue probably.
