Picture flickers and jumps wildly from top to bottom similar to a vertical hold adjustment problem on older tv models once it is on for several minutes. it may right itself and hold but most of the time will not.
I don't know if this will work for everyone, but we were having much the same problem with our Westinghouse LCD TV (which is what led me to this site in the first place.) After a great deal of experimentation we have found that if we keep the backlight setting at 3 or lower we do not have the problem. If we try to view it on the level 4, 5 or 6 setting the picture goes crazy after 5-15 minutes and does not clear up until the set has been turned off for about 30 minutes. Good luck! I hope this works for you too.
My Wesinghouse 27" lcd hdtv jumps and vertical hold is out of control after being on 15 mins. The cable company checked the connection and it is clean. We did not damage the tv. It has been doing this since we got it. We did not get a service contract. Sometimes the screen goes black with a small rolling picture on top. Help me please. Can the maufacter still help us?
we lost all the papers when we moved.

I have the 32" model and have had the same issue as well as a green or red hue on the picture. Been on the phone with Westinghouse and they deny there is an issue.
looks like vertical hold has gone, can this be adjusted in the service menu and if so how do you access it
