LCD tv zoomed in. can't un-zoom it. tried restoring to factory settings, nothing. tried settings couldn't find anything that led me to undo this. just bought this tv. the picture is killer. untill it zoomed on me........ HELP PLEASE!!!

Sounds like you have the "Wide" mode set to Zoom or wide zoom. Also if you are on Comcast cable the cable box has a setting of Zoom and full. Set your TV's zoom setting to "Full" and the cable box to Full. I don't have an LG so you'll have to find these settings yourself..

To perform a factory reset on the Zoom R16 recorder, follow these steps:

1. Power off the Zoom R16 by pressing and holding the [STOP] button.
2. While holding down the [STOP] button, press and hold the [REWIND] button and the [PLAY] button.
3. Continue holding all three buttons for about 5 seconds until the display shows "Factory Reset."
4. Release all three buttons and the unit will automatically restart and restore all factory settings.

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all user data and settings, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

Have you tried adjusting the aspect ratio by pressing the ZOOM button. There you can select Normal, Wide, Zoom, and Cinema modes. Normal mode: selects the aspect ratio that matches the source's aspect ratio.

If this doesn't work, try power-cycling the TV by turning it off, unplugging it & leaving it unplugged for a few minutes. Then plug it back in, turn it on. You can also restore factory default settings.

Press MENU.
Press LEFT or RIGHT to select SETUP, then press DOWN to open the SETUP menu.
Press UP or DOWN to select Restore Default, then press RIGHT or Enter.
When a message asks if you want to restore factory settings, select YES to restore the settings, or select NO to exit without restoring settings.

Make a factory reset to this set. I assumes that you have its remote control wih you now, and posts this solution. If you did forget the parential pass code, just enter '6688' when the set asks for passcode. The previous set passcode will clear out, you ahve to set a new passocde in place. After resettign the pascode, just make a factory reset to the set, by entering into it menu option.
Without remote control, you can't do anything with this set. If you lost its remote control, you can buy it directly from Apex Digital. The price ofr the remote control in US or Canda is $35. In this case, please contact

Sorry u can't fix this zoomming mode problems without the tv original remote.This tv zoomming mode function it is have it only on the tv original remote function only no where else.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to use.

its no big problem.I implore you visit the user's manual to see how to zoom and undo it. Get back if you encounter further problems.

Try tapping the screen with 3 fingers to un-zoom. You can turn this off in Settings: General -> Accessibility -> Zoom

there may not be a zoom option but there should be a ratio setting i.e 16x9,4.3 letter box i had that problem and found it in my display settings my screen resolution was changed to 16x9 zoom
