Hi
You might just need a new thermostat. There are 4 on that machine, the one you want is at the 12:00 position. Its a 92c. You might also need to descale the boiler. If they get too much scale on the elements they loose effectiveness.
HI
Remove the water tank. On the back of the machine between the intake port for the tank and outside are 2 disks. Stick a pin in the outside edge of the disk and pry them out. There is a screw under neath. Remove the screws. You hose connection has come loose. Put the spring clip or use a zip tie and reattach the hose to the filter. Now replace the back and screws. You don't have to put the disks back in if you don't want to.
Hi
The foil on the front has to peel back until the switch will push out the front. Peel from a corner. Make sure that the switch goes back in the same way.
Hi That sounds like your Steam thermostat needs to be replaced. There are 4 thermostats on the SL70. The rear one is your brew thermostat (92c), the one in the front is your steam thermostat (117c). The one in the center is over temp thermostat, (136c) and it screws in to hold the other thermostats in place with a thermal fuse held also. You need the 117c thermostat and maybe the 136c also. You will also need an new O-ring for the steam wand.
Are you using the pressurized filter baskets? My 2 1/2-year-old SL70 recently started doing the same thing, and I think I have narrowed the problem down to the filter basket (it works fine with a non-pressurized basket). I've ordered a new pressurized basket. I can't guarantee that this is the answer, but you might try it.
