I've has this machine for quite a few years but have stopped using it lately because the espresso that comes out isn't hot. It's sort of luke warm. Does it need a tune up or something? I'm trying to locate...

Hi
You might just need a new thermostat. There are 4 on that machine, the one you want is at the 12:00 position. Its a 92c. You might also need to descale the boiler. If they get too much scale on the elements they loose effectiveness.

Yes it can be repaired, sounds like the thermostats might have tripped.

Hi, I have a Solis Crema SL70 and have had water drip from underneath the machine. I then turned the machine upside down to have a look when a spring/clip fell out that looks like a butterfly of sorts....

HI Remove the water tank. On the back of the machine between the intake port for the tank and outside are 2 disks. Stick a pin in the outside edge of the disk and pry them out. There is a screw under neath. Remove the screws. You hose connection has come loose. Put the spring clip or use a zip tie and reattach the hose to the filter. Now replace the back and screws. You don't have to put the disks back in if you don't want to.

Trying to relpace the on/off switch on my solis crema sl70. I have the machine apart, but can not get the switch out of the face plate. Anyone kn ow the secret?

Hi The foil on the front has to peel back until the switch will push out the front. Peel from a corner. Make sure that the switch goes back in the same way.

Turn the foam knob, nothing happens most of the time. If I leave it open, it will pizzle and fizzle warm, low pressure air that takes 7 minutes to warm milk to 160 degrees. Bah! I miss my lattes!!!

Hi
That sounds like your Steam thermostat needs to be replaced. There are 4 thermostats on the SL70. The rear one is your brew thermostat (92c), the one in the front is your steam thermostat (117c). The one in the center is over temp thermostat, (136c) and it screws in to hold the other thermostats in place with a thermal fuse held also. You need the 117c thermostat and maybe the 136c also. You will also need an new O-ring for the steam wand.

Solis SL70 Espresso Machine: Pump Switch Light Turns Off

Mine has always worked that way; it only seems to have enough power to do a single set of 25 second shots before a short re-heat

Handle is pushed out

Are you using the pressurized filter baskets? My 2 1/2-year-old SL70 recently started doing the same thing, and I think I have narrowed the problem down to the filter basket (it works fine with a non-pressurized basket). I've ordered a new pressurized basket. I can't guarantee that this is the answer, but you might try it.
