I am having a hell of a time installing my creative zen micro mp3 player on my new computer with windows vista. I have been going in circles chasing ghosts of drivers, organizers, firmware and so on.
Help pls.

When i went to the link it said it had moved?
And to think Vista was released to stop all these problems and make multimedia "oh so easy"!!
Same problem... the other advice listed does not work on my computer. When trying to access the creative.com sites listed they just clock and do nothing. Pretty sad.
Thanks to "tech in hiding" I got my Zen to work with Vista. As of Jan. 16, 2009 the link is:

I'm pissed at Creative for forcing me to return to XP, rollback from
Windows Media 11 to 10, install a 2.x firmware update, and only then
install the Vista-friendly driver. Sheesh. It's a good thing I hadn't
wiped my old XP machine yet.
I had a driver disk with my Creative Zen Micro MP3 player. When I connect my device after running the autoinstall on the disk, Vista tells me that there is an incompatibity between my webcam (which is built-in and nothing to do with the MP3 player, as far as I can see) and the driver.
I have a problem installing software for my Creative Zen Micro mp3 on my new laptop with Windows Vista. Pls help...
Tom
