You may want to check and see what kind of connection limitations are in place.

The router should have a static IP address *(like 192.168.1.1) or something close to that written on it.

You can use your web browser to log into your router and look at the settings.

Go to the Buffulo website for specific guidance on your model router.

My lap top will access the internet with my router my Ipod will not But my Ipod will connect to other peoples computer I was wondering if there is some setting for this problem on my computer

There isn't anything on your computer that can help your iPod communicate better with your router. It's good to hear that your iPod can connect to the internet in other locations, but to be clear, it is through your friends' routers, not their computers. The first thing I would try is to delete any profile for your router and then power down your iPod completely. Once you're sure the power is off, restart the iPod and search for your router. Enter any necessary passwords or keys and see if that works. If not, you can then try upgrading the firmware of your router to see if that helps. Finally, you can disable any secured wireless networking and check to see that you can connect. Assuming that works, add back the security being sure to enter the exact same information in both your iPod and router.

My son was playing on my ipod. and managed to lock it. and i dont know the pin as a friend gave it to me and has moved to an other countery. what can i do to find out the pin

Use restore feature in iTunes. Simply connect the iPod to you computer and choose "restore." (Click what you named your your Ipod nano.) This is generally pretty easy and can be done in no time. For more information, you can visit the Apple Support website.

http://support.apple.com

If that doesn't work, try holding in the menu button and the middle button and it will reset your iPod, but the music will not be erased.

My friend gave me a used ipod. I've downloaded the latest itunes on my Windows 7 computer. I am connected to the computer via a USB cable. The ipod will not recognize my internet connection. Help!

You need to set up your internet connection properly.
  1. Go to Settings
  2. WiFi
  3. Make sure the WiFi is switched in the ON position
  4. Under choose a network, choose your internet connection (you need to know its name)
  5. If it happens to be one with a lock on it, tap it and enter the password.
  6. Your iPod should now connect to the internet whenever you are home.

My son gave me an older computer and wireless Linksys-G model WRT54GS router. I bought my wife a ipod for christmas and in the setup of the ipod it is asking for a password for the router. My son does not...

Reset the router to default....the default username and password is usually on the bottom of the router..then open a web page on your pc and connect the router with a network cable..type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
Use the generic name and password to logon....once logged in, configure username and password and wifi...once setup..save and exit..disconnect and connect router to internet modem...log onto pc and look for your wifi neteork name..cheers

Ipod security code

You can unlock your iPod nano in two ways:
â Enter the combination on iPod nano by using the Click Wheel to select the numbers
and pressing the Center button to confirm them. If you enter the wrong
combination, it flashes red. Try again.
â Connect iPod nano to the primary computer you use it with, and iPod nano
automatically unlocks.
Note: If you try these solutions and you still can’t unlock iPod nano, you can restore
iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page 50 for more
information.

I FORGOT MY CODE

You'll have to connect it to a computer with iTunes, or you can bring it back to where you bought it I think they'll unlock it for you.

Well those are your options.

Good luck.
