Try turning off main switch and unplug set then replug in wait 30 sec turn on main power and repeat then try if it works great if not power supply bad. i also suggest a ups universal power supply newer tvs sensitive to surges and brownouts also never turn tv off n on in short period of time will cause surge that trips protection circuit

Hatachi tv model #le49s508 manual

The Hitachi LE49S508 red LED lights up when the TV is in standby mode. The LED will be off when the TV is on or has no power. If you haven't tried the front panel buttons, check if the TV will turn on when you press the lowest button (Power) on right side of the TV. If this works and your remote doesn't, you may have a problem with the remote or the IR receiver. (You can check the remote by having someone take a picture of the front of the remote when you press a button. There should be a flare of light visible in the picture.) If your current source is a PC, make sure that the computer is on and hasn't gone to sleep. Otherwise, the TV main board is not getting power from the power supply or not responding correctly to the commands.

Sears Parts Direct has the owner's manual for the LE49S508 here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/user-manuals/le49s508-hitachi-parts-manual . To download the manual, the current link is https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/pd_download/lis_pdf/OWNM/1412002L.pdf . A few parts for this TV are available here: https://encompass.com/model/HITLE49S508 .

I hope this helps.

The tv is plugged in and light is red but wont turn on when power is pushed

When the red light is on you have power to your tv.Then you must turn it on by the TVs remote NOT by pressing the power button on the TV.

LED LIGHT BLINKING OF HITACHI SPLIT AIR CONDITIONER

Did you figure out why the ac wasn't responding to the remote? I am having the same problem. I just cleaned out the filters but it's still not responding to the remote. I have already tried reset button in the remote, which didn't help. I am pretty sure that the remote is not out of battery.

My samsung LED TV turns on sometines and other times the red light stays on and won't respond to remote control

leave the tv disconnected for a while because if you keep messing with it like my kids did and it will cause the bulb inside to burn out and will not even be worth fixing

I have a hitachi 50 "plasma that was given to me

First do you see a light indicating that the TV has power? There are two power buttons on the TV (the main power and the regular power button). The red standby light will light up when the main power switch is on. This indicator is just to the left of the remote I/R sensor. You can find the main switch on the bottom front of the tv (it is under the tv forward of the stand). Turn on the Main power if it is not on. Then try the power button on the control panel of the TV again.

Does the standby light change color or blink? (Red is standby, orange is power savings (no signal), blue is on.) If the main switch is on and the standby light doesn't come on, the TV has a problem at the power supply. Try unplugging the unit for a bit (at least 30 seconds) and then plugging it back in. This will reset the internal circuitry. If you see a blinking light, then the TV is reporting a self-test failure. I do not know the codes for this model Hitachi Plasma TV.

The manual for the Hitachi P50H401 TV is available from Retrevo: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Hitachi-P50H401-TVs-manual/id/1233ci869/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to access the pdf.

I'm assuming you don't have one of the special versions that were intended for large audiences that were only controlled by remote (no control keys on the front of the TV). Remotes.com has the original remote or a substitute remote if you need it. See http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&uuid=13104063628240&smodel=P50H401&brand_pn=HITACHI_P50H401 .

I hope this helps.

Need code for hitachi tv

Hitachi: 1145, 0145, 0151, 1904, 0032, 0409,

or you can use the general method:
SEARCHING FOR YOUR CODE
If your device does not respond to the remote after
trying all codes listed for your brand, or if your
brand is not listed, try searching for your code. For
example, to search for a code for your TV:
1. Press TV once.
2. Press and hold P until the red LED blinks
twice, then release.
3. Enter 9 9 1. The LED blinks twice.
4. Aim the remote at the TV and press Power.
The remote sends IR codes from its library to
the selected device, starting with the most
popular code first.
5. If the TV responds, go to step 6. If the TV
does not respond, press CH+. The remote will
try the next code. Continue until the TV
responds.
NOTE: Press CH- to try the previous code.
6. To lock in the code, press P once. The LED
blinks twice.
7. To search for other device codes, repeat steps
1 to 6, substituting the appropriate device
key.
