If I send a picture or MMS , it remains iun my outbox- I can no longer open it and when I try to delete it it says "cannot delete a locked message". Like the other posts--there is no option given to ever "lock" and OUTBOX message, so you can't unlock it.
I bought another RAZR in January. After 3 months it started doing the same thing. The only way to clear it is to to a MASTER CLEAR and lose everything (pictures, contact info, ringtones). I am tired of having to do that every so many weeks. Is there no other option ? I dont want to spend $300 on another one if this will happen with a third Razr. Is Motorola aware of this problem ? Last week I spent an hour with someone who was working on getting my e-mails sent from my outbox. I was told the problem was "fixed". Now |I have another e-mail **** in my outbox and have now been on the computer for 45 minutes going form one department to another. This is MOST FRUSTRATING for me- as senior!!!Last week I spent an hour with someone who was working on getting my e-mails sent from my outbox. I was told the problem was "fixed". You can't post conmments that contain an email address.
Highlight the message in your inbox and press menu. You should have the option to unlock. Select that. tHen you should be able to delete them.
As far as your voicemail...
Call and leave yourself a message and then delete it. This will cause the voicemail system to send a message to your phone to remove the icon.

Likely the two ring answer is "toll saver" You'll need to retrieve new messages. Once all new messages have been reviewed, it should return to the programmed number of rings, see "ring time" in the manual.
ALL messages may be deleted as follows; delete all messages With the phone in standby, press Delete; press Delete again to confirm.
If answering system messages have been retrieved, a continuing flashing indicator could be your voice mail service;
Voice Message Notification • If you subscribe to a voice mail service, your phone can notify you when you have a new message. This feature supports Frequency-Shift Keying (FSK) notification. Contact your voice mail provider for information. • When you have new messages, the display shows a message icon. After you listen to your messages, the message icon turns off. If it doesn't, you can reset it. With the phone in standby, open the menu and select Global Setup; select VMWI Reset, then select Yes
A copy of the manual is available from Uniden;
Usually this means the text Inbox/Outbox is full, once you delete them it should go away. You can have 500 text messages total on your reserved memory. Once you reach 500 you get the flashing mail icon and it saves texts to the smartchip (which holds 30 extra texts) and you won't be able to send a normal sms message, it will make you send a mms slide. Delete your messages, and that should fix it. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask :)

Next, access your voice mail messages by tapping the
"Voicemail" icon.
3
Look at your list of current voice messages. If you have any
messages that are eligible for recovery, you'll see an item at the very
bottom called "Deleted Messages". Tap on this to access a list of your
deleted messages.
4
You should now see a list of deleted voice messages. If you
see the message that you want to recover, tap on it and choose
"Undelete".
5
Your voice message will now be sent back to the main list of
current voice mail messages.
6
Repeat steps 1-5 for "each" message you wish to recover. This
may take time!
it is a voice mail probsbly press one and talk and it will connect you to your voice mail after that you will listen to the voicemail and after it wlill give you a option to delete it
Hi,
first press menu, select messages, then press menu button again, scroll down to cleanup messages, select, then scroll down to which box you want to delete and select. done!
When first turned on, select "messages." then down arrow to inbox or outbox. Select choice. For outbox, down arrow to SENT. Select. Hit the center button. scroll down twice to delete the one message. Scroll down once more to delete ALL messages from the sent outbox. Confirm and out they go!
Now, does anybody know how to email text messages so they can be saved?
I had this same problem. Deleting and clicking "yes" at the warning screen would not remove the message from my outbox and the message kept resending for days.
Solution: In the Outbox, click "Menu" > Empty Deleted Items. Click "yes" at the warning. The message should now be gone from your outbox and your text buddy should now be able to regain sanity.
T-mobile credited back the resent text messages when I called them.
If you do not exit voicemail with *, you will get a text message with a couple of symbols. In that case, go to text message menu & delete that message--the icon on the main screen will disappear!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I had the same problem. I checked the browser messages and sure enough the phone co had sent me something out. I am so relieved. I knew I could find a solution on the internet!! :-)
