Material chord lodged around agitator of kleenmaid KAW393 washer
I have a Kleenmaid KAW 393 washing machine and a flat piece of cotton chord has become stuck underneath and around the agitator. How do I remove the agitator to remove the chord? Thanks

Thank you for returning a reply to me email but I no longer require this service as I contacted a company who will come and look at the machine for a minimal fee. Thanking you. Jan
The agitator just pulls off- they can be very tight!! You need to get your fingers under each side of agitator and pull up. Kleenmaid do have a special tool to make this easier, but I have always managed to pull them out by hand with a good firm sharp pull upwards. To refit, just put it over the drive bell ( the plastic thing underneath agitator) and give it bit of a whack to clip it on. Good luck!!
This may be a little late, but it may assist someone else. On my Kleenmaid top loader I found the agitator has clips at the bottom of agitator that clip over a drive hub at the bottom of the "tub" . All you have to do is gently prise it up using your fingers between the bottom of the agitator and the bottom of the tub. Paul

There are manuals available but these only tell you about the parts of the machine and the different cycles etc. Its a workshop manual that you need and these are not discussed anywhere on the net, Im not sure these were ever produced.
