My Kenmore sidebyside fridge, model 253.56522403 with a GSI-26 icemaker is stuck on cruched ice abd won't dispense cubes, only crushed.

I was in the chat with you but you did not answer so i will opost the solution here
would first remove the ice maker cover and check to see if the there was an "on/off" switch and a cube setting check to see if the switch is set wrong or the switch it'self may be faulty.
unplug the refrigerator and leave it unplugged for 1 hour and then plug it back in than see if the ivce maker now works
if not than i would try replacing the switch

First take the unit out clean it and check that it is not stuck or something damage there. it can be the controll / the ice container something got damage most likely the container bad.
