Using Quicken Premier 2009 on Windows 7 x64 with HP OfficeJet 7310.

My check wouldn't print and was booted out of Quicken. Validated data (was OK), reinstalled Quicken Premier 2009 (per instructions above), checked printer and driver (was-OK), I still could not print checks (error code 7215 and quicken closed).

SOLUTION: I deleted the transaction I was trying to print, the re-entered it. It printed fine.

try reistalling windows 7

format your pc or put avira anti virus or do a back up.

your quicken deluxe 2009 is very OK... i think your system vista 64bit is the problem.. is there any other way that your 64bit vista is updating? if you try to use your quicken deluxe and it might works there.. so this time you are going to system restore your vista 64bit and back the recent checkpoint that quicken is run normally...

unload, find a good win registry cleaner, scan a coouple of times, reload quicken, even when you remove a program off your system, fragments of program remainsm especially in registry

All Printers have this issue printing from quicken you would need to download the older version of quicken from oldversion.com
Then uninstall the new version and install the old version.
all lexmark/canon/epson/brother/hp.....printers have this problem with the new quicken.

Or try calling in to us at 1800-474-6836 and provide us with a remote session with your computer we may be able to fix this issue with a basic driver.Let me know if you have connected the printer thru usb or ethernet and I will give you a resolution that works 70% of the time with the new quicken

Ok, this basically means the ini file is corrupted normally. What you'll have to do is either reinstall quicken 2009 or try a repair on it. You can also manually go to c:\Program Files\Quicken\qw.exe and see if the shortcut is bad that you have been using. If you don't have the disk, go to start, settings control panel, add remove programs or programs and features. Locate the program. Right click on it, click change. Then check the feature that gives you the option to repair the software. BACKUP quicken files if they aren't on a disk.

a bit fuzzy here in your statements
you have win xp installed and the quicken program runs there perfectly
is that correct ?
now on another pc you have win vista and quicken is not running there
is that correct?
or do you have both win xp and vista operating systems on the one laptop and are trying to get quicken to work on both on the one laptop
maybe the problem is that quicken version you have works well win win xp as it is compatible with that OS but is not compatible with win vista in which case you need to go to the quicken properties tab , click on compatibility tab and tick the box and high light window vista and apply the change or get a download upgrade vesion from quicken web site
