When I train my cable remote (Charter Moxie)to respond to my Boston Acoustics TVee soundbar it works for a while, about 5 minutes, then stops working. I have the sound output from the cable box input into the soundbar, but cannot turn off the soundbar with the remote.
Get rid of that moxi before it starts on fire.
have charter send out a scientfic atlanta hd dvr, with an hdmi port on it as well. the functionality and reliablity of these boxes greatly exceed moxi. moxi is a power sucking, fire hazard, problem waiting to happen. the only thing it has that is good is the guide format. but you may feel that graphics on a tv guide outweigh the funcitonality of the device. the big square in the front of the moxi was supposed to be a dvd burner, the box has no hdmi, and has a modem in it that is disabled. so its got a bunch of junk on it that isnt and cant be used. if you dont clean the vents on the back of the box monthly it will surely fail.

ALL OF US INSTALLERS DESPISE PAUL ALLEN FOR INVENTING THAT PEICE OF ****.
Distorted sound from the Soundbar.
Change the Trim Level switch setting to a higher number.
Check the signal source to be sure the distortion is not originating there. <<<<<<<<<
The woofer seems to have interference with its wireless signal.
Try changing settings of the Wireless ID switches on both the soundbar and bass unit. <<<<<<<<
The bass unit could be too far from the soundbar to get a good signal. Try moving it closer.
What is the source device that results in static? How is it connected?
