I have an old kenwood shelf system, with the following components:kenwood stereo power amplifier B-A9 100v 125w, kenwood C-A9 digital pre-amplifier/tuner, kenwood stereo cassette deck x-A9 plus a cd player. I do not have a user manual and yet most writings on the system are either in japanese or Chinese, which I do not understand. Can anybody help, say with a manual in English? Fred, Uganda.

That's a pretty standard setup. RCA cables from the KM207 to the preamp (KC207), and RCA cables from all of the other components into the KC207. Speakers connect into the KM207

probably you are right due to high impedance of the speaker the receiver cant handle it, the mini component can handle 80 to 100 watts only. you need a high watts amplifier to used your 360 watts speaker, just connect it to the audio output of the mini component. thanks
T-85L is a component of a hifi system not suposed to work alone. You have to connect it to another Kenwood component (an amplifier like the A85 ) through a special cable to power it on/off. The special cable can be used point to point or as daisy-chained.
this normally happens with a lot of sets! It usually happens during a Power Failure, Power Surge (Fluctuation) and if the wire of the component is taken out from the wall outlet while the system is on...To get rid of this problem all you need to do is to press the Display button on the main unit, it is located just below the main display! Voltage Selection has got nothing to do with this problem...
Its easy i think your chinch cables are not good try with other pair of chinches and if it not work try to change the speakers from a to b position on your amplifier if that doesnt work probably its the one chanell on your cd is not working.
The only tricks to power up again are this: Amp to Equalizer : Use the "Connector " of the Amplifier - IN and OUT and connect them to the Line IN and Line Out of the equalizer; All modules: Use the system control cable like in serie, for example the lowest connects to the above and from thsi one to the other above and so on; Regarding Power: both CD, Deck and Tunner have different colors to connect to the Amplifier power source, you can't miss it; Audio Cables, just follow the IN and OUT with correct colors and you are done!
Assuming that the four speakers are connected to the amplifier, then the amp is the most likely problem component. Does the amplifier show a power light when the system is turned on? Note that there is probably another fuse in the amplifier power wire, near the battery.
