My Whirlpool Twin Thin top load stacked washer LTE6234 is broken.
When I plug it in it just keeps filling, the water never stops. whether I press the timer button in or piull it out the water continues. If I turn the knob to a different cycle or part of a cycle the water continues. In some cases it will drain or spin but the water never stops.
Is it the timer?
Check for voltage at the water inlet valve with the timer dial pushed in or in an off position. If no voltage replace the water valve. If you do have voltage you'll have to trace the circuits back from the water valve to the line. One point of demarcation is the water level switch. Pull the violet colored wire and see if it still fills while off. If it does it's likely the timer's bad.
The problem I have with my Whirlpool ThinTwin is that when I pull the washer knob the water does not start filling even though there is water in the apartment unit. The dryer works so i know there is power and not a circuit breaker issue as I have checked that as well.
When I turn the knob and pull in any position nothing happens. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
