Just bought a Toshiba 52XV648U with DVR. We have been having problems changing channels and the sound often becomes garbled.
It freezes up and we can't do anything with it. We have changed the DVR and also installed different cables and we also changed to a different TV, but it still does it.
Am I correct in assumption that you have problems with sound/picture independently of what DVR or TV you're using?

Sounds like firmware problem if it is still covered by warranty the manufacturer can replace or sens you a usb with firmware update on it speak to your dealer about your warranty. If not covered let me know and i try find update for you.

Its a backlight problem. Common with this model. Under warranty? If not, then its a service shop repair.
