There are two self tests you can try to test the printer. With only the black cartridge and on sheet of paper. Disconnect the printer from the computer and unplug it. Plug it back in and do the following:

Press and hold the power button. At the same time, press and hold the Ready/Insert button. Release the power button, but keep holding the Ready/Insert button. After 4 seconds, release and press the button again and release. It should print a one page diagnostic test.

The second self print test using all 4 cartridges. Turn the printer on, press and hold the Ready/Insert button for a few seconds and release the button. The test will use all 4 inks.

I have a Canon MP830 & I can't print or send a fax Error message 300 - I can't turn off the printer - & it says I have 10% in memory. it is also making a clicking noise

Hi there,
Error No. 300 :

Cause 1: The machine is not ready.
Action : Ensure that the lamp on the Operation Panel lights.
If the lamp on the Operation Panel is off, turn the machine on.
While [COPY] is flashing, the machine is initializing. Wait until [COPY] stops flashing and stays lit.
When the Alarm Lamp lights orange, an error may occur in the machine.

Cause 2 : Machine is not proper connected.
Action : Ensure that the printer cable is securely connected to the computer/
* If using a switching hub or other devices, disconnect the machine and reconnect it directly to the computer and try printing again. If successful, the problem may have been with the device.
* There could also be a problem with the cable(s). Replace the cable and try printing again.

Cause 3 : The name of the machine being used is not selected in the [Printer] pull down menu of the [Print]dialog box.
Action : Select [MP830] from the [Printer] pop-up menu in the [Print] dialog box of the printer driver.
If the [MP830] is not displayed in the printer list, follow the procedure below to confirm the settings.
1) Select [ Print abd Fax Preferences] from the [Printer] pop-up menu.
2) Check that [MP830] is displayed in the screen that is displayed and select the [InMenu] checkbox.
3) If [MP830] is not displyed, click [+] to add a printer.
If [MP830] is not displayed, install the MP Drivers again referring to the Easy Setup Instructions for the operations.

Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

Grinding noise and won't print

When you say "it turns off" do you mean both the lights go off as if you'd pulled the plug out, or do you mean it stops working but with lights still on or flashing. If it's the latter, can you have a look at:

http://support.epson-europe.com/onlineguides/en/sc62/index.htm

and take action to correct the problem indicated by the lights.

If this has been helpful, please rate it, otherwise come back with further information about the problem and what you have done so far.

C4380 HP Printer

Does it make noise when it first feeds paper or when the print module sweeps across? It's possible that there is some obstruction in the paper path or in the way of the print module. Is the noise constant or only when a certain action occurs? Let me know.

Epsom cx3200 off brand ink refill

Make sure the print head nozzles are not clogged. You may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.

When you don't turn on your EPSON CX3200 for a long time, the print quality can decline. It's a good idea to turn on your EPSON CX3200 at least once a month to maintain good print quality.

1. Make sure the EPSON CX3200 is turned on but not printing, and the Error light is off.
If the Error light is flashing or on, you may need to replace an ink cartridge.
2. Press the left Menu button on the control panel several times until you see Cleaning and then press the Copy button.
Cleaning takes about 30 seconds, during which the EPSON CX3200 makes some noise and the Operate light flashes. Never turn off the EPSON CX3200 while the Operate light is flashing, unless the EPSON CX3200 hasn't moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes. setViewedFAQCookie(14082, 31605);

Tv will not power up - makes a weird noise and red light blinks constantly.

It sounds like a bad lamp, a bad lamp driver or a combination of the two. Be aware that sometimes a bad lamp driver will blow a perfectly good lamp, so if you're not sure which is causing the problem, replacing BOTH would probably be the best course of action

Printer makes clicking noise

Make sure the printer is not out if ink. When the light flashes this may be the case. Also check the print queue. If it contains pending print jobs and there is no paper the light will flash. Here is how to check print queue: Click Start > click priters and faxes > double click printer icon and see if there is something ... If you see any print jobs delete them right away. and restart your computer. This should solve your problem.
