Canon i9950, Operator error,5 amber blinks

Submitting a print job, I get "Operator Error" (!) yellow hazard sign - it tells me to press the printers resume button and if that does not work then to turn printer off and on. ON/OFF does not help. Green indicator alternates with 5 blinks of amber light.

5 amber flashes and a single green is an error code that means your printer head is not installed correctly or is defective. This usually means buying a new one but it's a lot cheaper than buying a new printer. ignore the idiot who said 'go and buy an Epson', they are just stupid!

The Canon part you need is: QY6-0076

Hope that helps.

If that doesn t work :
Take your printer (be sure that cables are disconnected from your machine). Trow it out the window.
Go out and recover the cartridges.
Draw some nice pieces on the street.
Take a picture of your finished work.
Go to Epson and buy there a printer.
Print your picture and sand it to Canon. Done.

Hope I hepled..

Canon mp600 pixma; it just started doing this when I tried to print; now I can't seem to be able to do anything with it. I assumed it was due to one of the ink cartridges being out and so I replaced...

"Issue: ERROR LCD: Error Code 5010
Solution: Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device

Reset the device when it is not functioning properly.
If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it.

1. On the operator panel, press and hold the button for one second. (The display will go blank.)

Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.

2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the button again.

3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request."

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe
