Spider III makes a high pitch sound when I plug my cable into the input slot. It won't stop and it keeps echoing.

If your guitar is not connected and the cable alone causes the oscillation, I would certainly question the QUALITY of that cable.

Poorly sheilded cables can pick up ground loops.

If you short the contacts of the cable at the guitar end and that stops the oscillation, I would try a higher quality instrument cable. MAKE SURE the cable you are using is an INSTRUMENT cable and not a SPEAKER cable which I can guarantee would cause the problem.

The Line 6 amps are NOT noted for reliability so I would NOT let that oscillating conditipon persist for any length of time.

Do NOT use excessive gain at the front end,,, use higher master volume and less front end gain if you are having ground loops.

My Line 6 Spider III 30W amp just quit on me. I know the speaker works, I know my guitar and chord work, but the amp doesn't. The amp will power up and all the lights will work, I can press the different...

Test the amp by touching the tip of the cord you unplug from the guitar and preferably try it with a second cable as well. If at high gain you don't get a loud hum, best to take unit for service. If it hums, then check battery in your guitar. The battery in the guitar is enabled when a cable is plugged in and MANY forget to unplug the cable from the guitar and have a dead battery within a day and blame the amp. This applies to most guitars that have preamps in them... there are some that are "passive" that do not have a battery.

My line 6 spider III 15 watt amp isnt working properly. i turn it on but i get this sound when its connected to the guitar. it sounds like when a guitar is not connected to a guitar and the guitar cable is...

While it could be true that you're having a problem with the guitar or cable as the previouse expert suggested, to say that it can't be anything else is false. It could be a jack problem...it would only be apparant when the jack is making contact with a cable. I do think you should test it with another guitar and another cable but if that is not solving the problem then I bet it's a problem with the input jack of the amo itself or even one of the ionternal components (this is a digital amp and there are MANY components and settings that can trigger a problem like this) If the problem is not solved with a new cable/guitar configuration then it's time to take it to the shop.

En los amplificadores Line 6 Spider III ¿puedo conectar pedales de efectos que no sean de la misma marca línea 6?

Creo si, pero primo del amplificador con una corda guitarra.
I think that you can, just add them to the input

Spider III amp stopped making sound

After making sure your guitar cable is OK (they often cause the problem) check the inout jack on the amp. They often get broken by yanking cable sideways.

My spider III 15 watt buzzes whenever i have a cable plugged in.

MAKE sure you have it connected to a three wire circuit that has the ground. A lot of these style amps will buzz if they are left ungrounded.

Also search for sources of buzzing light light dimmers.

Further, power supply electrolytic filter caps are suspect.

High pitched squeal when the input jack is used.

Sounds like your master volume is turned up too much. The channel volume will make the squealing go away(caused by high gain and humbuckers). The best thing to do is dial in your favorite presets and change the channel volume to the correct level with the master volume where you usually keep it. I use my Spider Valve at master volume at about noon and the channel volume between nine o'clock and noon. Let me know if this does not solve the problem......

I have a spider III 15W amp that has worked for a year. plugged in last night and it's getting power but no sound. Not even a hum from the speaker. checked everything and it's definitely the amp....

Try disconnecting the speaker from the amp with the amp unplugged from your power. Never work on an amp when its plugged in unless you know how dangerous it is. Check for resistance across the speaker terminals with a volt ohm meter to see if you have a blown speaker. Thats the first thing to look for. You should here a hiss or a low hum when your amp is on and you plug a guitar cord into the input without the guitar. Check those two things first.
