I have an LCD Samsung TV LE26R86BD I have a manual and set the colour preferences it lasts for about 2 hours and then the screen goes momentarily black and reverts to the previous setting which was dynamic. Can you tell me how to set my preferred setting for the TV permanently. I have satellite, TV from Sky, I have a DVD player linked into the TV also.

Probably the Tcon board problem

This does not seem to be a power supply issue but rather an issue with the backlight inverter board. When the screen goes black, take a flash light and focus it on the screen from a close distance and several angles. See if you notice a very faint image. Try changing the channels to make it more noticeable. Try it and let me know
I have got a Samsung LE40R88BD 40in lcd tv that after about half an hour the screen goes black and then comes back on after about ten secs but the picture is very much darker. what is the problem?
I have the exact think happening on my Samsung LN46A530 and it has just been 2 years since I bought it. There better be a cheap fix for this because a $2,000 product has to last a lot longer than 2 years.
If it does it only on HDMI, then, the problem is the Main PCB. The HDMI cables are to heavy for flat panel sets.
If the problem happens on just one input such as component and analog, then the problem is more than likely the source.
Does the problem appear on DVD, but not the cable/satelite?
If the problem appears on every input, then the problem is the main PCB.
