I did use a remanufactured ink and the majenta refused to print. I went thru the stages for cleaning but to no avail. I replaced the colored ink cartridge and still majenta will not print! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
Hi,
We've encountered several problems like this and we end-up replacing the printer head especially separate printer head technology from ink-cartridge(s). Cleaning well do in most cases and original ink cartridges is always better:) and cleaning of nozzle should be done three times only for it may consume whole ink cartridge half empty. For the ink-cartridge with printer head builted-in the problem with missing color most likely on the contacts between the cartridge and tray. Please wipe the contact points gently with dry cloth or cotton buds. Try to check if the contact points were not rotten or corroded with dried inks. Have a nice day.

Your welcome. I understand there is an error during POST. Just check also if still can detect ink cartridges by removing from trays. Turn it on again well see if it still parks to ink installation position. If it does there's no problem with ink cartridges and trays placement contacts. However, if the problem still persist even by removing the cartridges there is a mechanical error, either on saction cap assembly, motors, gears, strip encoder and even the ink flash pads reaches to each maximum no. of printouts. How I wish the software will be available to reset all internal counters.
Nice to hear=) Your welcome.. finally I figured out why magenta won't work setting aside that your color ink cartridge is new and not expired. Maybe the contact is good but the line is broken so no voltage driver that supposedly allows the magenta section to fire ink. You too can check the driver voltage circuit board and resolder any loose points. Enjoy troubleshooting. Best regards..

As far as I can see, the contact points have not decayed or corroded. Right now, everytime I turn it on I get an error message so I totally can't do anything with it.... Thanks for the insight thou....
