How to unclog drain hose/pump? my front loader frigidaire left my clothes too wet and some of the water won't drain. from reading the forum, it seems I should be checking for clogs (coins, socks, etc.) but I'm not sure of the best way to access to check for clogs. The front? the back? the washer is in an awkward spot and I've been trying to access through the back but haven't fully taken the panel off, as I'm not sure this is even the way to do it. also concerned with re-attaching hoses/pumps after checking for clogs. Help!
First of start by checking the rubber gasket seals around the door and making sure those are good and clean and dry. Then inspect the barrel itself. My daughter loves to leave scraps of paper in her pockets that then get stuck in my front loader. Clear any debris from the barrel. Does your machine have a small front access panel or back access to get to the filter? Most front loaders have some sort of filter on them apart from the barrel. If you can find this part, it is a common culprit. Mine is a tube shaped basket with a front access panel on this one. On the front loader before this one is was back panel accessable under the drum. when you check these have a bucket and some thing mop up with handy, towels, mop, etc. One other thing to consider is the drain hose from the machine. I have flushed mine using a garden hose in the yard and used a little bleach.

When you blow into the tube, there should not any block, the air should pass through; then you know that the tube is okay. This should solve things....... Also note that the outlet tube is not connected to the drain at floor level; it should be at least the machine height; the machine pumps the water OVER this height. Or the water will just drain out......

i think your on the right track but a couple of things you need to know first that model washer wont spin tiny loads or one articles of clothing it has a device in the motor called a tacho generator to balance if you have only a small load it cant sense the balance and most of the time will only rock back and forth second your pump is the most likely culprit if you look in side the washer you will see a seem in the tub next to that will be one of the washer tumblers take the screws out of that tumbler slide it forward there will be a hole there rotate the tub to your right and you will find the hole going down to the drain pump can check it there but i don't think you'll find any thing as that is a larger hole it think your drain pump is now if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water ou of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case.now remove the two screws on the front lowerpanel and pull the panel

What to do?

After charging me $275 to change the water pump, the repairman said I needed a new computer board for another $160. I went & bought a new washer - this time a regular top loader mechanical washer with no computer. The repairman said computerized washers & front loaders in particular have lots of problems. He said top loader Whirlpools have the least problems.
SOURCE: E20 Error - how do I access the inside to check for blocks?
Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. (You may find the drain hose here, on left) The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water. Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.
