My Stauer Atomic won't stay connected to time signal

I received my Stauer Atomic on Christmas Day. The tower symbol has always been ''solid'' since then. It has seemed to work correctly until yesterday.

Sometime yesterday the tower symbol disappeared. I may have lost the signal traveling through the Poconos. When I got home I followed the directions for seting the time.

I press the button for more than three seconds and the hands go to twelve. Then I press it again, and the hands find the correct time. The tower symbol flashes. However, after maybe 15 seconds the tower symbol again disappears.

My understanding is that the tower symbol should always be present. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

Thanks. I agree that that makes sense, but I am not sure that the watch is actually checking. The instructions that came with the watch are poor, but they seem to indicate that the tower symbol should always be present. I don't know that that means it is constantly checking the time, but at least capable of checking the time. Otherwise I am not sure that it is ever checking. If I am wrong about that, I would be glad to have some one explain how it works.

These watches only need to see a signal several times a day, not necessarily continuously.

If it keeps good time, don't worry about it.

How do you reset the time after changing the battery in a stauer 11475 atomic watch??

Take a look at http://www.stauer.com/pdf/17468.pdf
I see that this watch gets it's time signal from Boulder, Colorado so it will only work properly in North America. Perhaps they also do models for the European market - if so I would expect them to work in the same fashion so the manual should still be relevant.

The watch will set itself at specific time set times, this is likely to be at 0200 0400 and 0600.
You will however be required to set the time zone, the switch is likely to be on the back.

Casio WV58A-9AV Atomic Watch Signal Symbol

When the logo is not shown in the bottom corner, the watch hasn't got a signal yet. put your watch on a window sill, and hold the Forward buton until the watch says GET! Form there, the watch will either display ERROR, if it couldn't find a signal, or will have the latest and most accurate time. The watch is also probably set up for auto detect, which is best. To do auto detect, before going to bed, the watch will try to get a signal from 12 midnight, to 5 in the morning.

Reset my G Shock watch

try http://forums.watchuseek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17
seems pretty extensive.
you either need to set your time manually if you are not automatically receiving the atomic signal. if you are receiving the signal, then either you are not in auto DST mode or your home city is set incorrectly.
