Hi I wondered if anybody could help. I have smashed the LCD screen on my camera and wondered if it could be replaced, if so where can you get the screens from? Thanks

I am kinda confused what you mean by black blob, but anyhow a SD card cannot do this to a camera as long as the camera supports the memory card. I feel there is a little more to it then this. The lcd will need to be repaired this will need to be taken to a camera shop to repair this with a new lcd around $50 bucks respectivly. I find it hard to understand this ether as this should not have happend. the memory card if compatable should not have shorted this camera lcd out.

i think the LCD has been set to a very high brightness set the LCD brihtnes lower from the settings..
better more is to reset the camera to the default settings this would set the aperture, shutter, Exposure, LCD brightness and other settings to defaults and this would save from any unwanted changes than required
If hard resetting and restoring it doesn't work you have a broken LCD screen. There is an iphone repair guide website that shows you how to replace the screen yourself.
When I turn my l60 on, the lens doesn't open all the way. Usually I just use my finger to help it along... then earlier tonight I turned on the camera again to take pictures and all I had was a white screen. I took out the battery.. then the sd card, nothing worked.
I later came online and searched for solutions.. seems this is a common problem for other cameras as well.. I tried their methods.. they say to hold the camera and just tap on it.. I tapped on the Samsung logo a few times.. the white screen was still there.. and I gave up, turned the camera back off... then decided to try again, turned it on and now I have my lcd screen working again. O_o *shrugs* I'm not going to question how it got fixed, I just hope I don't get this problem again.
Your Digimax L60 will also recognize your SD card please select the option to save pics In camera or in memory card. This time your camera work on its internal memory.
I suspect that your intsructions might help you find out what this red dot indicates. I have had customers send their cameras in for service complaining about a dark rectangle in the lower right hand corner of their Olympus cameras' LCD. Turns out it was the exposure "burst" counter.
