I purchased an ILO 26HD flat screen at Walmart. I do not have its owners manual or its remote - just a generic remote. We never got the remote to work - couldn't find a code, so while we had cable, turned the tv on & changed channels without the remote. Since disconnecting cable, no picture or anything. A friend has an owners manual for an ILO IWF2706 which advises going to http://www.funai-corp.com, but there is nothing about ILO at that site. where do we go from here?

most of the new TV's use a SCAT plug to allow connection of a PC or laptop. I doubt that this TV has that sophistication. The ISB will not do it and neither will S VIDEO.
As for the cable you could try a male to male plug to mnake a coaxial connection. These TV's were made to a price for walmart and you got what you paid for which was a cheap TV. There was no warranty offered by Walmart for these either

These is known to be a problematic brand for TVs. I believe the name has actually been withdrawn because it has such a bad reputation. If you cannot get satisfaction at the above contact. I would ask them how to be a party to a proposed class action lawsuit (that should get you to a supervisor, at least).
ILO sets seem to have a "half-life" of a year. The warranty from Walmart is only six months.

If you can return it, do so, otherwise the best place to start is to follow the inputs to the board to the screen.
One thing to try is unplug it for 8 hours to hard reset it and see if that makes a difference. These tvs have a history of having this problem and most likely the signal processor is at fault if nothing else looks bad.
A lot of universal remotes don't work with Ilo electronics because Ilo is a Walmart house brand manufactured by an OEM. Try using the Emerson code(s) of a universal remote if nothing else.
